With a claimed service height quadruple that of the Martin jetpack, a new autonomous, personal VTOL helicopter concept, the Airvinci, is being developed first as a heavy drone, then as a fully-fledged, human-carrying aerial transport system.

The next generation of US Marine Corp helicopters took to the air recently with the successful maiden flight of Sikorsky's CH-53K King Stallion heavy lift helicopter at the company's West Palm Beach, Florida Development Flight Center.
