​​Electric cars are on the march and critical to their appeal are advances in battery capacity. BMW has made new efforts to ease range anxiety among future owners of its premium i3 EV, packing more battery density inside for an extended range of up to 260 km (160 mi) in everyday conditions.​

BMW will be introducing a new model to the i3 electric car lineup, the i3s. This sportier version of the best-selling i3 reduces range by a few miles and gains a lot of power and sport handling to compensate. The BMW i3s will debut in Frankfurt at the International Motor Show in September.

When it's not turning out fire-breathing super bikes, BMW Motorrad has a knack for fun little scooters. The C evolution has come in for some attention, with the fitment of high capacity batteries from the i3 for better range and performance.
