The port of Yokohama will play host to a colossal, walking Gundam robot for a year starting this October. With 24 degrees of motion, it'll be the most advanced full-sized Gundam ever built, and the engineering challenge of making it work is enormous.

The team has been let go. The robots are back in a dusty old warehouse, and MegaBots Inc's dream of an international giant fighting robot league lies in tatters. All that stands between Eagle Prime and oblivion is 200 grand, a handycam, a laptop and one desperate founder.

Last month we finally saw the long-teased American MegaBot versus Japanese Kurata giant robot battle. After the Team MegaBots win, many viewers complained that the battle felt "staged." People wanted live, unedited giant robot fights, and MegaBots recently gave the people what they asked for.

Team America is ready to go. MegaBots, Inc released a hypetastic video this morning of its final, combat-ready, 16-foot-tall Eagle Prime machine, and announced it's ready to take on the Japanese Kuratas in the world's first giant robot fight.

With the world's first international giant robot fight just a few months away, team America has revealed its contender. The MegaBots Mk.III combat robot made its hulking debut at Maker Faire Bay Area, and took the opportunity to beat up on a couple of Toyota Priuses.
