Paris Motor Show 2014

  • Citroen has never been one to follow convention in the automotive world. The French manufacturer is using the 2014 Paris Motor Show to show the world its latest innovative creations – the C4 Cactus Airflow 2L Concept.
  • As we approach the Paris Motor Show, one thing is becoming very clear: The French are quite ready to host a big auto show. We've already the Peugeot Hybrid Air demonstrator and the Renault EOLAB, and now Peugeot has detailed the QUARTZ concept, a hybrid 4x4.

Its all-new EOLAB Concept slashes fuel consumption in half when compared to the already efficient Peugeot 208 Hybrid 2L, requiring just 1 liter for 100 km (235 mpg) of driving .
  • Peugeot revealed its Hybrid Air technology last year and will showcase the 208 Hybrid 2L Demonstrator car at this year's Paris Motor Show. The latest iteration of Hybrid Air design complements the gasoline-air powertrain with weight- and drag-cutting measures.
  • Mercedes has given its B-Class a midlife upgrade with a range of more efficient engines, including electric and natural gas options, along with small styling tweaks and an updated infotainment system.
  • Kia is looking to continue its upmarket charge with its third-generation Sorento SUV. Billed as a leap in quality and technology, the latest Sorento SUV is built around a stiffer bodyshell that the company says delivers improved handling, comfort and safety.
  • After a long wait, Opel has released its 5th generation Corsa. The updated car combines new engines with a totally redesigned chassis, and promises to be more a more engaging and efficient drive than before.
  • VW's Passat has been totally redesigned, with new engine options, design and tech. The mid-size sedan is the 9th-generation Passat, and VW is hoping it will take the model upmarket in Europe.
