The Nintendo Switch may be portable, but its dock not so much. The OmniCentro, aims to solve that problem with a pocket-sized gizmo that fast-charges the battery and outputs the visuals to a display – upscaling the resolution to 4K in the process.

SunPort is a plug that signals to the grid that the user wants to buy solar credits to power their devices. It connects to the company's cloud through Bluetooth and an app for iOS and Android.

Brio promises a safer and smarter power outlet that can tell the difference between a kid's fingers and an electrical appliance, only turning on the juice for the latter.

It's definitely one of life's little annoyances – devices with big adapters built into their power plugs, that block multiple outlets on your power bar. Allocacoc's PowerCube is an alternative to those bars, that can reportedly accommodate up to five of those big plugs at once.
