Polestar 2

It's been four years since Polestar first revealed the Tesla 3-battling Polestar 2 sedan. The sedan has been itching for an update, and Polestar has delivered with more of virtually everything buyers want – range, power, performance and standard features.

Using its all-electric five-door fastback as a jumping off point, Polestar has produced a vehicle carefully engineered for performance in the Arctic Circle. The Swedish automaker is using the one-off to drill into the fine details around EV performance.

Cake's all-new Makka, the "ultimate convenience machine," has gotten even more convenient in a collaboration with Polestar. The two companies team on a zero-emissions commuter tandem, a Makka that mounts on back of a Polestar 2 and charges on the ride.

Polestar built its debut all-electric car to compete with those of Tesla, and while the Polestar 2 will demand a deeper dive into the pockets for now, the vehicle has come in a little cheaper than the price flagged last year.

​​Following the reveal of its debut hybrid GT back in 2017, Polestar has now unveiled a fully electrified sedan it hopes will broaden the brand’s appeal, with a sub-five second 0-100 km/h sprint and a range to make some rivals sweat.​
