Robot Factory

It uses a completely customizable overhead lattice frame that the crane "base" attaches to. It has a series of individual grippers – each equipped with laterally-facing rollers – in a "tank track-like" configuration.

At its core, this system uses a "simple" cross-spherical gear paired with a monopole gear to control pitch, roll, and yaw. With clever gearing, coupling, and sliding motions, however, the ABENICS gear is extremely precise in its movements.

Agility Robotics is well into construction of a 70,000-sq-ft facility in Salem, Oregon, with the capacity to produce more than 10,000 units per year of the company's Digit humanoid robot – which will work alongside humans on the factory floor.
