Austrian boatbuilder Silent Yachts has already gained a fair bit of attention with its solar electric catamarans. Its just-announced latest model should continue that trend, as it's the result of a partnership with automakers Volkswagen and Cupra.

Spanish carmaker SEAT is the latest automaker to carve out an urban mobility division, to develop cheap, clean getabouts that break the 4-wheeled mold – and its pair of production-ready electric scooters look practical, stylish and well thought out.

Automaker Seat has chosen MWC 2019 to offer a glimpse into the company's micromobility future. The Minimó electric urban runabout is said to combine the comfort and safety of a car with the maneuverability and ease of use of a motorcycle. And yes, it looks a lot like a Renault Twizy.

​Listening to some tunes while driving is great if you're on your own, but if you have passengers with varied tastes then pleasing everyone can be a problem. The dynamic focused sound system being tested by car maker Seat promises to wirelessly deliver sound direct to a driver or passenger's ears.​

Seat is celebrating its Nürburgring achievements with the SUB8 Performance Pack for the Leon Cupra, which brings the standard Cupra 280s into line with the lap-record breaking car. Upgrades include bigger brakes and new 19-inch wheels.

SEAT is unveiling its IBE sports coupe EV concept at the Paris Motor Show.

SEAT displayed its first electric vehicle prototype in January of this year to Spain’s Minister of Industry who recently promised one million EVs on Spanish roads by 2012. SEAT has now announced the 74.3mpg TDI powered Leon Ecomotive at the Geneva Auto Show 2009.

SEAT, the Spanish arm of the Volkswagen Group, will launch its new Exeo upper medium sector saloon in April, along with some interesting technologies designed to keep it cool in the Spanish sun.
