Shanghai Auto Show 2019

Auto Shanghai is a different from other international auto shows. Staple brands that dominate the rest of the circuit get diluted in a pool of names you don't see much of — SAIC, JAC, BYD, etc. Suddenly, you're a young kid at his very first auto show, where everything is new and wondrous.

Karma Automotive, the company formerly known as Fisker, ushers in a "new dawn." Its three latest cars make their debut at Auto Shanghai: a fully refreshed, BMW-engined Revero with more power and range than before, a Pininfarina-sculpted Revero coupe, and a high-tech all-electric roadster concept.

With Lexus jumping into the MPV game, the minivan might actually become something of an object of desire. Will the new Lexus LM raise the humble minivan from "soccer dad" to "jet-setting international power broker?" Probably not, but it does bring some fresh style and luxury to the MPV segment.
