The RW-5 Voxan recently took to the Bonneville Salt Flats for flying mile tests, shattering four separate faired and unfaired speed records for an electric bike. It was developed as a collaboration between Ohio State University and the Venturi Group.

French manufacturer Voxan can now claim to have the world's fastest electric motorcycle. Using a short airstrip instead of a salt flat, rider Max Biaggi and the 362-horsepower Voxan Wattman set no less than 11 land speed records on the weekend.
