KTM plans to continue its quirky expansion into the world of four-wheelers by turning its savage X-Bow GT2 racer into an Audi-powered street-legal supercar – complete with a pop-up jet-fighter style cockpit.

There have been a number of versions of KTM's X-Bow since the first in 2008, including the 2013 GT and the current GT4. A newly-announced Black Edition, though, is surely the most seductive and exclusive of them all, forged, as it is, entirely in black carbon fiber and with only five being produced.

Fans of motorbike-like specs on four wheels, strap yourselves in. KTM has announced a planned new version of its X-Bow (pronounced "Crossbow") sports car. Few details have been released, but based on past models we can expect blistering speed and glue-like road-holding.
