If a Segway isn’t really your style and a bicycle’s too hard going, a four-wheel scooter is a little too pedestrian and jogging is out of the question, then perhaps the GoPet Personal Electric Transportation scooter from MyGoPet Inc will meet your needs. GoPet is a three-wheeled electric vehicle that's easy to ride and eco-friendly. It has a top speed of 16mph and can travel 25 miles on 10 cents worth of electricity courtesy of its 48V, 350W front hub direct drive motor, say the manufacturers.

Recharging the GoPet takes four-six hours with a 110V smart charger that turns off when the battery is completely charged.

"While some two-wheel electric vehicles carry a high-tech image, GoPet is faster, goes further on a charge and is much easier to ride," said Tom Murphy, GoPet General Manager. "And GoPet retails at about one-fifth the cost of a comparable Segway scooter."

GoPet features a sturdy, three-wheel platform that is safe and comfortable with front and rear pneumatic tires that deliver a smooth ride. Non-marking tires are also available for inside applications. Thick rubber pads are designed to prevent rider fatigue while the familiar hand-braking system provides reliable intuitive stopping.

Adjustable handlebars suit riders of any height, making the GoPet great for many business and recreational applications. Even the Village of Greene, NY, police are using the GoPet on the beat.

Each GoPet scooter includes assembly tools, headlight, taillight, horn and basket. If you don’t wish to stand for long, options include a seat, folding handlebar and trailer.

GoPet complies with most state and local laws for personal mobility devices but riders are advised to check their local vehicle regulations.

They want $2484.00 on Ebay......I can build my own for less than 1/2 that ammount.....heck just take that hunk-o-junk bicycle and put a hub drive front wheel and cut the frame off just behind the bottom bracket and where the pedals would take them out and put in a piece of 7/16 all thread 2ft.long and put a 16in wheel on either end and take it to your favorite bike shop....mount battery on the seat post....the front Hub drive generally comes in a kit and has all the electrical hookups....for about $429+389=$818+tax...that's for kit and battery.......LOL
