Sony has announced the QX1 lens-style camera which turns smartphones into mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, in the same way last year's QX10 and QX100 turned them into compacts. The QX1 can pair with iOS or Android devices, sports a 20.1-megapixel sensor, and uses E-mount lenses.

Berlin debut for the Asus ZenWatch
Asus has announced its first wearable powered by Android Wear at IFA in Berlin. The 7.9 mm-thin ZenWatch features a 2.5D curved glass face, pairs with any smart device running Android 4.3 or higher courtesy of Bluetooth 4.0, and can also act as a "wellness manager."

KillaJoule electric sidecar motorcycle hits 241 mph, smashes multiple records
Land speed record chaser Eva Håkansson added another three titles to her collection at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials last week. Håkansson hit 242 mph (389 km/h) in her home-built electric sidecar motorcycle "KillaJoule." She is now the world's fastest woman on a motorcycle.
