Action Mobil

The latest off-road RV build from Action Mobil is one of the company's fiercest yet. But after six-wheeling proficiently over dirt, rock, mud and snow, it softens into an off-grid homestead so hospitable it pings you when the laundry is done.

From its bulging Unimog cab, to its 6.8-ton weight, little about the Action Mobil Temet 3600 would be considered "small" at your average vehicle company. But for Action Mobile, the 3600 is compact and agile, a truck that can climb over talus on its way to providing hotel-like accommodations.

The expedition vehicle specialists at Action Mobil are filling out their Pure lineup with an even meaner all-terrain motorhome. The new Pure 5000 Zetros climbs, crawls, splashes and maneuvers all around the world, spending blissful nights below the the starry, wide-open sky.​

It would seem that the tiny market for giant, world-traveling expedition vehicles is growing a little less tiny. Just a few months after showing the near-seven-figure Global XRS 7200, Action Mobil is now going after a different (still well-heeled) buyer with its entry-level Pure series.

The Action Mobil Global XRS 7200 combines six driven wheels of off-road fury with a luxuriously appointed living pod that has the look of a chic city apartment. It brings comfort and style to the farthest stretches of desert, highest reaches of mountains and deepest sections of jungle.
