DeltaWing Technology Group and DHX Electric Machines are collaborating to build small, lightweight electric motors for automotive applications. The electric motors are 75 percent smaller than equivalent-output motors for automotive applications thanks to engineering improvements in heat management.

There can’t be many racing car projects in recent years that have attracted as much interest and support as the radical DeltaWing and now its makers have announced that they’re going to build a road-going version. The firm has patented its design, giving us an early glimpse of its likely appearance.

With its swept-wing design and narrowed front end, there’s no mistaking the DeltaWing for anything else on the track. Now the company has unveiled a newly rendered DeltaWing concept, that it hopes will take the radical design and turn it into a high efficiency, road-going passenger car for four.
