Jaguar F-type

It doesn't seem all that long ago we were looking at the Jaguar F-Type for the first time. But it's been seven years, which means it's time for a refresh. It comes in the form of a 2021 F-Type that's been nipped and tucked like an aging movie star.

Britain’s Lister Motor Company has rolled out its latest Jaguar-based sportscar​, the Thunder. Touted as the most powerful, and most luxurious road car in Lister's 65-year history​, it is based on the Jaguar F-Type and boasts that car's supercharged V8 and a bespoke exterior and interior.

Since launching back in 2012, the Jaguar F-Type has been all about supercharged V6s and V8s, but Jag is about to break with tradition and offer an alternative: a base-level four-cylinder turbo. The new engine drops a few bucks off the price, adds efficiency and still comes in right around 300 hp.

In January, Jaguar took the lid off its F-type SVR. Now, the company has rolled out more details about it before its public début at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1.​

Set to join Jaguar's F-Type family is the F-Type SVR, described​ as a 200 mph (322 km/h), two-door aluminum sports car that is lighter, faster and more powerful than the F-Type R that inspired it.​

Using the British Union Jack as inspiration, the Jaguar design team has created a special British Design Edition of the F-Type coupe and convertible. This special edition adds exterior and interior styling points, performance braking, and unique wheels.

The British are a singularly odd bunch when it comes to things automotive. When they fail to amaze, they do an epic job of it, but when they do hit the mark, they do so with such perfection that it’s awe inspiring. The 2016 Jaguar F-Type R Convertible falls squarely into the latter camp.

Following on from my time behind the wheel of a gorgeous F-type V8S roadster a few months back, I recently had the opportunity to drive the less powerful (but equally gorgeous) 380 hp V6S Coupe version of the F-type.

Jaguar has created a bespoke version of the F-Type Coupé for the Team Sky British professional cycling team; turning it into a “high performance support vehicle” to support some of Team Sky during the time trials this Saturday as part of Stage 20 of the 2014 Tour de France.

Jaguar has used this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed to reveal it's F-Type Project 7 is making the jump from concept to a limited production run of 250. The fully road-legal two-seater roadster will be the fastest and most powerful production Jaguar ever built.

Jaguar has premièred the F-Type R Coupé version of its F-Type Convertible, which won the 2013 World Car Design of the Year. This latest iteration is based on 2011’s Jaguar C-X16 concept.
