The Alpine Alpenglow is back, this time equipped with an all-new "Hy6" twin-turbo V6 engine developed from the ground up to run on hydrogen. The Hy6 doubles the power of the last Alpenglow, delivering true supercar performance and rumble.

The National Association for Stock Car Racing and Swiss multinational ABB have partnered to "push the boundaries of electrification" in the sport and beyond. The first fruit was revealed at the Chicago Street Race – a 1,000-kW EV prototype racer.

After a hell-raising concept iteration, Alpine's hydrogen combustion fire-and-ice Alpenglow supercar is finally prepped and revved to take the track. It'll make its dynamic debut next month at the Spa-Francorchamps 6 Hours endurance event in Belgium.

AVL had a pretty good day earlier this month, when it confirmed its prototype 2.0-liter turbo hydrogen race engine could generate over 200 hp-per-liter. AVL uses a water-injection system alongside its turbo to moderate combustion for more power.
