Based on a limited edition concept released in 2017, the Patek Philippe Reference 5531R World Time Minute Repeater is the first wristwatch that not only tells world time, but sounds local time for anywhere on the globe.

On May 14, one of only four existing Patek Philippe Calibre 89 watch/clocks goes on auction for the first time since 2009. Made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Patek Philippe, the Calibre 89 has 33 complications or functions, making it the most complex watch constructed in the 20th century.

It says something that a watch made in 1932 keeps breaking world records, and the Henry Graves Supercomplication watch did just that today as it was knocked down by Sotheby’sGeneva for a record-breaking CHF 23.2 million (US$24 million).

The Grand Prix de l'Horlogerie de Genève recognizes the best in watches made in the previous year in a dozen categories plus the "Aiguille d'Or" for the best timepiece of the year - this year, the winner was the DB28 model by De Bethune.

An auction on June 10 will feature some celebrated timepieces, including a Patek Phillipe watch from Tiffany & Co, and another once owned by Isabel Perón. While the Peron watch is expected to fetch UKP 3,000, the Tiffany may fetch 100X that amount.
