After leaking on a retailer's online store last week, Moog has now officially unveiled the Moog One – its first polyphonic analog synthesizer in more than 35 years and new flagship. And it's a beast.

Modal Electronics has announced an upcoming portable synthesizer that's based on the voice architecture of its Craftsynth. The Skulpt polyphonic synthesizer rocks 32 oscillators divided between four discrete polyphonic voices, and can run for up to 12 hours on battery power alone.

For the last few years, Skot Wiedmann has been teaching electronics and music to students using a build-it-yourself mini touch synth called the Hyve. Now he's taken the 60 voice analog polysynth to Kickstarter to get it into the hands of more music makers.

The Modulus.002 is a boutique polyphonic sound machine that mixes classic analog sound creation techniques with some digital magic to give musicians access to the kind of sounds made famous by vintage instruments of the 70s and 80s.
