Back in the mid-2000s, Motorola scored a massive global hit with a high-style flip-phone called the Razr. The fashion icon was revived for the smartphone age in 2019, and now the company has out-flipped the competition with the Razr Plus.

Motorola has decided to once again slice into the foldable phone market with a new version of the once iconic Razr flip phone, which has all the hallmarks of a tastier, cheaper option than the Galaxy Z Flip4 announced yesterday.

We saw the first rebooted, foldable Razr in November last year, and now Motorola is back with a successor to that smartphone. Still simply called the Razr, the 2020 version adds 5G, more power, better cameras, and some other welcome refinements.

The original Motorola Razr was an iconic phone, helping to popularize the flip form factor in an era before the iPhone and smartphones. Now the handset is back, replacing classic tech with cutting edge in the form of a foldable screen.
