DJI is bringing its stabilization know-how to cinematic content creation with the launch of the Ronin 4D system, which rolls a new full-frame gimbal camera, 4-axis stabilization, a LiDAR focusing, and video transmission/control into a single package.

Back in 2016, drone maker DJI adapted its Osmo stabilized actioncam for the smartphone generation. Now the Osmo Mobile motorized gimbal has entered its fifth generation with the launch of the OM 5, which boasts its own selfie stick.

Though DJI is perhaps best known for its drones, the company has also been making smartphone stabilizers since 2015. Now the Osmo Mobile line has been renamed OM, and the latest model features a snazzy magnetic phone attachment system.

Almost three years after releasing the Osmo Mobile smartphone stabilizer, DJI has revealed the third generation rig – and this one can be folded down for transport in a backpack, or even a pocket ... kind of. The Osmo Mobile 3 is also lighter and easier to use. And a little cheaper too.

Along with an update to its line of Ronin stabilizers for professional cinematographers​, DJI has released a follow up to last year's Osmo Mobile stabilizer, bringing more flexibility to smartphone shooters along with more intuitive controls.
