  • Fender has today launched a new digital subsidiary and its first product is, unsurprisingly, a guitar tuning app for iOS. It includes auto and manual modes, and some helpful tuning and tone tips. We gave the new app a quick test run.
  • A few years ago, Korg released a nifty practice tool called the TM-50 that combined tuner and metronome in one unit, allowing musicians to keep time and stay in tune. Now the company has added the ability to analyze and improve tone and technique with the release of the TM-50TR.
  • ​As symbols of motoring excess go, few can come close to the Mercedes S63 AMG Cabriolet. Sometimes, power and high-end engineering isn't enough, though.   • The Acoustic Stream wirelessly pairs with a companion app running on an iOS device to help players record a killer riff or live stream to an amplifier, includes a built-in precision tuner, and sends out an alert when environmental changes threaten to damage a treasured instrument.
  • Tthe Roadie Tuner from Hassane Slaibi and Bassam Jalgha of Band Industries slips over each machine head, one at a time, and works with a smartphone to bring an instrument to tune.
  • Tapo from Editors Keys is a guitar capo with a built-in tuner.
