Volvo has launched a new battery-electric crossover, the C40 Recharge, which is the first Volvo ever designed to be electric-only. The automaker has also announced that all EV sales will move to an online platform.

After trundling out electric heavy machinery at a test quarry in 2018, Volvo has now sold its first all-electric construction industry vehicle in France. The compact electric excavator has been delivered along with the group's FE Electric truck.

Waymo already has a number of partnerships in place with household names like Walmart and Jaguar. It can now add Volvo to that list, with the two forming an agreement to develop electric vehicles that can drive autonomously.

Throughout Volvo’s history, wagons have been present in various formats. The V60 is perhaps the most-recognized station wagon on the market today, offering premium midsized luxury with a hatch.

Volvo has followed through on its plans to introduce a 112-mph (180-km/h) speed limit across its entire model lineup, today announcing that every one of its vehicles to roll off the production line will now feature this functionality built in.

The sporty, low-slung, all-electric Precept concept takes a decisive step away from from the toothy, repackaged Volvo styling of previous Polestar designs, looking every bit the part of a performance halo.

Volvo is known for safety, but consistently delivers some of the more well-designed luxury vehicles in the American market as well. With the 2020 S60, Volvo has found a sweet spot that combines luxury, safety, and daily driveability in a small sedan.

Volvo's Tesla-hunting electric offshoot Polestar has opened up a demonstration website for the user interface it plans to run on the upcoming Polestar 2. Based on Android, it'll include the Google Assistant, Google Play Store and whatever apps you like. Plus, it seems to want to be fun, too.

After spending a week with the new 2019 XC40, we came away impressed with Volvo’s attention to detail on this compact luxury crossover. The XC40 builds on the excellence of the larger XC60 and XC90 models, without downsizing their ergonomics for the compact market.
