Acer unveiled a big brother to its recently-released Veriton Z280G all-in-one desktop at IFA 2009 in the form of the Aspire Z5610. The new all-in-one unit features a larger 23-inch multi-touch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, 5ms response time and 1000:1 contrast ratio. While the Veriton Z280G is more suited to basic home and office use, the Aspire Z5610 is aimed at more demanding multimedia users.
To this end it is powered by an Intel Dual or Quad Core processor, boasts 8GB of DDR3 RAM and packs a 1TB hard drive that can be upgraded to 2TB. It also comes with a DVD-RW drive that can be swapped out for an optional Blu-ray recorder, a DVB-T TV tuner, WLAN, webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.
Acer will offer the Aspire Z5610 in a number of configurations, with prices starting at EUR€999 (approx. USD$1,430 at time of publication) when it is released on October 22.
