The voluptuous new Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale rings in a new era while paying respects to the past, carrying a gas-electric powertrain split inside bodywork inspired by the legendary 1967 33 Stradale. It seems a shoe-in for "prettiest car of 2023."

The Tonale was first introduced as an all-new Alfa Romeo model for the 2024 model year. As the new entry point for the brand, it sets the tone for the rest of the Alfa Romeo brand’s future.

Based on a current-generation Giulia Quadrifoglio, the Giulia GTA draws its inspiration from the Giulia Gran Turismo Alleggerita of 1965. The race-winner of that era became a legend, and Alfa hopes the new street-legal versions of the GTA will do the same.

The Monterey Car Week auctions left the collector car world in a state of shock. Sales totals were expected to be similar to 2018 when 850 cars sold for US$370 million but when the hammer fell for the final time in Monterey, just 770 cars had fetched $245 million – a shortfall of 80 cars and $125 million, or 34 percent down.
