BIG has been commissioned to design a new student center for Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland. Named The Village, it's conceived as an oversized living room and will feature a timber structure and a roof covered in solar panels.

BIG has conceived some of the most interesting architecture projects we've seen on land, and even water, but its latest design is out of this world. It involves the development of 3D-printed Moon habitats to support exploration of Earth's satellite.

BIG has conceived one of its most ambitious projects to date. It envisions building three artificial islands in Malaysia that host housing, business and leisure facilities, and run using sustainable technology like solar power and wind turbines.

BIG has a habit of producing architecture that serves a dual purpose and now its upcoming furniture factory will also double as a hiking and camping destination. The project will boast solar power and efficient heating and cooling systems too.

BIG recently completed a new museum and workshop for luxury watchmaker Atelier Audemars Piguet. It's a superb building defined by a spiraling design and is topped by a green roof that helps it take its place well amid the rolling landscape.

The port of Yokohama will play host to a colossal, walking Gundam robot for a year starting this October. With 24 degrees of motion, it'll be the most advanced full-sized Gundam ever built, and the engineering challenge of making it work is enormous.

The winner of the Architectural Photography Awards has been announced during the WAF in Amsterdam. Laurian Ghinitoiu won the overall prize for his stunning photo of the BIG-designed museum The Twist, while also picking up two category awards.

Bjarke Ingels Group unveiled its plan for a new Panda House for Copenhagen Zoo back in 2017. The circular enclosure is now complete and hosts two giant pandas who have settled into their yin and yang-inspired home.
