Don't let its bright stripes fool you – the Iveco Daily Switch 4x4 was the meanest camper van at the year's largest RV Show. It was also among the most versatile, "switching" seamlessly between rugged, all-terrain work and remote camping.

Last year, Italian multinational transport company Iveco launched an electric version of its "iconic" Daily workhorse diesel van. Now the eDaily has gone way beyond its towing capacity to drive into the Guinness World Record books.

German startup Darc makes its debut with an impressive carbon-monocoque motorhome inspired by the contrasting worlds of Dakar and F1 racing. The "ultimate expedition vehicle" journeys away from hookups for two weeks at a time.

Iveco has premiered its long-haul concept truck, the Z Truck, which explores how alternative energy, new technologies and automated driving may change trucking in the future. The "Z" stands for "Zero," in the sense of zero CO2 emissions, zero accidents, zero stress and zero waste of driver time.

New names dominated the Dakar Rally this year - MINI won 1-2 first time out, and Iveco took away truck honors from traditional winners Kamaz. For KTM, it was business as usual with a 12th straight win

Iveco has a prototype of its new Electric Daily in Brazil, a vehicle destined to become the first zero emission light commercial vehicle produced in Latin America. The vehicle has a range of 100km (65 miles) and a top speed of 70kmh (43mph).
