Ethiopian-born American artist Julie Mehretu is on a roll. In October 2023, one of her paintings sold for US$9.3 million with another fetching $10.7 million in November 2023. Though she had been "the most likely to succeed" for three decades, her work has now moved her name into the pantheon of African, womens and indeed all art. In 2024, one of her near priceless artworks might win the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2022 Pebble Beach Concours has gone to a Duesenberg J Figoni Sports Torpedo from a strong field, including a Talbot-Lago T150C-SS Figoni & Falaschi, a 1930 Duesenberg J Graber Cabriolet, and a 1951 Talbot-Lago T26 Stabilimenti Farina Cabriolet.

The 2022 24 Hours of Le Mans happens this weekend, but Cadillac has us more interested in the 2023 event. This week, it previewed the Project GTP Hypercar it will be running in next year's FIA World Endurance Championship series, and it's an absolute stunner.

Aston Martin's DB4 GT Zagato Continuation will make its public debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2019 this week. The limited edition (19 only) will become the most expensive Aston Martin in company history when deliveries begin later this year, with a price tag of £6,000,000 ($7,633,000).

Audi has unveiled a concept car at Pebble Beach Automotive Week for the first time ever. The new PB 18 e-tron is a high-performance concept combining success from Audi’s LMP1 race car and the R18 e-tron. The car is powered by three electric motors, outputting up to 570 kW (764 horsepower).

One of the most significant cars in history will sell at Monterey this week, and it isn't the Ferrari 250 GTO.​ This Ferrari 275P won the 24 Hours of Le Mans twice, was the first mid-engined car to win, and twice set record distances for the event.

Last year, Ford celebrated its breakthrough 1-2-3 1966 Le Mans win by launching the GT '66 Heritage Edition. That win wasn't only notable on its own, but also as part of Ford's four-year winning streak. This year, Ford celebrates the second of those wins with the fiery '67 Heritage Edition.

Endurance racing is a brutal game, where one small fault can be the difference between success and failure – and if ever there was a race to put that in focus, it was this year's Le Mans. Toyota was foiled by poor reliability once again, while Porsche managed to overcome trouble to secure the win.
