Milan Design Week 2015

Space-saving designs were some of Gizmag's favorite picks during this year's Milan Design Week, which included transforming living spaces and multifunctional pieces by Italian company Clei.

Italian company Vado Libero, recently launched its new collection of innovative furniture pieces that are designed to compliment a cycling lifestyle. Gizmag got to preview the collection during this year's Milan Design Week.

Take a look at Gizmag's top choices from the SaloneSatellite, which took place during this year's Milan Design Week. It featured the work of 700 emerging young designers under the age of 35, with the theme "Pianeta vita" (Life planet).

Italian furniture company Campeggi showcased some of its new and innovative designs during this year's Salone del Mobile and Gizmag was lucky enough to get a closer look. The company is well known for creating energetic designs that can be transformed and used for different purposes.

The Salone del Mobile 2015 has once again lived up to its reputation of being one of the greatest furnishing and design fairs in the world. Gizmag got the chance to explore some of the new furniture collections which not only filled the Rho Fairgrounds, but also took over the city of Milan.

When you think of Zaha Hadid, shoe design probably isn't the first thing that springs to mind. However, the starchitect joined forces with UN Studio's Ben van Berkel and three other high-end designers to moonlight as cobblers for this year's Salone del Mobile.

The 54th Salone Internazionale Del Mobile opened yesterday and will run until the 19th April. The epic event is showcasing a huge collection of the latest home-furnishing designs from Italy and around the globe.

Japanese carmaker Mazda has applied its Kodo design philosophy to two new artworks. The firm has unveiled its Bike by Kodo and Sofa by Kodo concepts as part of Milan Design Week. The designs seek to portray the "effortless and powerful" movement of wild animals.
