Pirelli has launched its first full production tires with over 70% bio-based and recycled materials. The new line of P Zero tires was developed for Jaguar Land Rover, and include Forest Stewardship Council certification for natural rubber.

Pirelli and Bosch have signed a joint development agreement to create a software-driven "intelligent tire" system using advanced integrated sensors that connect to the car’s electronics, enabling the vehicle to adjust its setup based on the fitted tire.

In the Internet of Things age, everything will talk to everything else, and your car tires will be no different. Pirelli's new smart tires can feed information back to your car, other cars and V2X roadside infrastructure through 5G connectivity.
