Back in 2020, Swiss high-end bike maker Stromer unveiled a version of its ST5 ebike with integrated anti-lock braking. Now the company has launched a variant in North America featuring Pinion electronic shifting.

Back in April 2022, premium Spanish bike maker Desiknio partnered with Swiss speed pedelec outfit Stromer, and is now using that alliance to bring its X20 Pinion commuter and X20 Gravel ebike to the US for the first time.

Stromer is hard at work on a solid state battery pack that could lower ebike charging times drastically. The pack could charge 10 times faster than traditional lithium batteries, allowing riders to get back in the saddle in minutes, not hours.

Stromer has launched an upgraded version of its ST2 commuter ebike, adding a Pinion gearbox for a more flexible ride, an updated hub motor, high-volume Pirelli tires, and the option to include a suspension fork and suspension seat.

Given the fact that some upper-range ebikes can travel pretty fast, it's definitely important that they don't skid uncontrollably when braking. That's why a new model from Stromer is one of the first such bicycles with frame-integrated ABS.

Swiss eBike company Stromer has gone all-out on its premium ST5, creating one of the most beautifully executed and feature-rich e-streetbikes on the market, with features from the motorcycle world to make it street-legal even in markets where it's too powerful to run as a bicycle.
