Asus had a lot to say during its Computex 2015 press conference, announcing an all-in-one, a new hybrid tablet/laptop and even a second generation ZenWatch. The company also announced an entire range of tablets with a series of compelling cases.

The new range includes a 7-inch tablet, two 8-inch slates and a final 10.1-inch offering with an optional keyboard. All the devices offer IPS panels alongside integrated DTS Premium Sound and DTS Sound Studio technologies, the latter of which can transform stereo audio into virtual surround sound.

On their own, the tablets aren't particularly exciting, offering mid-ranged resolutions of 1,280 x 800 on the ZenPad 7, 8 and 10 (though the ZenPad S 8 has a much more respectable 1,536 x 2,048, the same as Apple's iPads). All devices run on Android Lollipop and are powered by Intel Atom processors.

While there's not a lot to shout about there, Asus has put some significant effort into the accessories available alongside the tablets. The ZenPad S 8.0 and ZenPad 10 offer pressure sensitive styluses, while the ZenPad 7 and 8 can be purchased with an optional Audio Cover, delivering 5.1-channel surround sound that's six times louder than the output of the slate. According to Asus, the accessory will last six hours on a single charge.

The 10-inch tablet's optional keyboard dock also has built-in stereo speakers that will reportedly run for 12 hours on a charge, and can stay connected to the device up to distances of 10 m (33 ft). Elsewhere, there's a PowerCase for the ZenPad 7 and 8 that adds an extra 14 hours battery life, and a style-conscious Zen Clutch case that doubles as a stand.

There's no word yet on pricing or availability for the new tablet range.
