The 2019 Chicago Auto Show marks one of the biggest years of late for the annual automotive event with more new vehicles unveiled than we've seen in some time. With one of the largest show floors in the U.S., CAS 2019 had a lot going on. Here's highlights of what can be seen there.

Alfa Romeo unveiled a 4C Spider called the Italia. When the cover was pulled off it in Chicago, we could see that the handcrafted little 4C would be something special. Only 15 of the cars will be built for the North American market, each with a US$5,000 price jump over the standard 4C.

The fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 entered showrooms late in 2018. At the Chicago Auto Show, Toyota has followed up with a new off-road-centric version of the crossover – the 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road edition.

Subaru has unveiled its seventh-generation Legacy sedan at the Chicago Auto Show. The all-new Legacy is more upscale in looks, has a new turbocharged engine option, and improved interior. A huge tablet-sized infotainment screen and driver safety and road aids are also added to the new Legacy.

Volkswagen has introduced the sixth-generation of the Jetta GLI performance sedan following the introduction of the all-new 2019 VW Jetta last year. The GLI features sportier handling and engine output. Unveiling the Jetta GLI, VW said it is solidifying its commitment to small cars.

Mazda originally debuted the MX-5 Miata at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, so it's only fitting that the Japanese automaker has chosen to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that car by making the world premiere of the MX-5 Miata 30th Anniversary in Chicago.

Ram Truck has unveiled a new multifunction tailgate for the Ram 1500 pickup truck that directly takes on the MultiPro tailgate from GMC. The multifunction tailgate from Ram opens downward, splits to open to either side, and can be used while a trailer is attached.
