Having made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed back in 2018, the very first production version of the Nissan GT-R 50 has arrived, with only 50 of the supercars to be hand-built and a million-dollar price tag to go with them.

In honor of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo DaVinci's death, Italdesign is showcasing a new car named after the great master. A battery-electric Gran Turismo that seats four​, the "project for the future" conceptual is nearly production-ready.

​Nissan has confirmed the final production design for the Nissan GT-R50 and has opened the door for orders of the limited-edition supercar built with the aid of Italdesign. Apart from extra color options, there has been no change to the exterior of the car that debuted in Goodwood.

Part-drone, part-self-driving electric car, ​​Audi’s Pop.Up Next is an ambitious concept dreamt up in collaboration with subsidiary Italdesign and Airbus. The automaker is this week carrying out the first public demonstrations, albeit at just a quarter of the size the finished product. ​

After releasing some poorly-lit preview pictures with GT-R50 announcements, Nissan revealed the car at the weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed. As expected, the striking anniversary-edition GT-R developed in collaboration with Italdesign makes quite an impression in the full light of day.

Nissan and Italdesign have confirmed that the special-edition GT-R50 will make its official world debut at this month's Goodwood Festival of Speed. Working together for the first time, the two automotive staples are also considering building up to 50 examples of the partially gilded GT-R custom.

Nissan and Italdesign have teamed up to create a special edition GT-R. The first collaboration between the Japanese automaker and the Italian design house, the GT-R50 is a custom prototype celebrating 50 years of both Italdesign and the GT-R.
