For anyone who hasn’t been paying attention, Dodge has become a performance brand. As the last remaining throwback muscle car maker, the company keeps the American dream alive with its lineup of V8s – such as the Challenger Hellcat Redeye.

Mopar and Dodge/SRT have been building race-ready, NHRA/NMCA-approved drag racers for quite a while. At the SEMA show in Vegas, Mopar has unveiled the fourth generation of the Drag Pak. And it’s sonic awesomeness.

Dodge likes to build muscular-looking vehicles and then make special editions that live up to that look. Adding on some kind of blackout or gunmetal color further enhances that appeal. The Durango SRT is the latest in the “shove horses under the hood” phenomenon that is Dodge.

Dodge has put a price tag on the 475-hp sport utility/muscle car hybrid it unveiled in February. At a mere US$133 per horse, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT provides 392 cubic inches of HEMI V8 power that can do 0-60 mph (0-92 km/h) sprints in 4.4 seconds and tow up to 8,700 lb (3,946 kg) of trailer.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is the latest to present a Vision Gran Turismo extreme hypercar with a level of performance that can only exist in a video game. The single-seat SRT Tomahawk sports car develops nearly 2,600 hp from a hybrid powertrain.

The world of four-door sedans is about to get real, thanks to the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, unveiled Wednesday. Dodge claims it is the most powerful mass-produced sedan ever, at 707 horsepower, as well as the fastest, with a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h).

SRT has introduced the $459,000 Viper GT3-R race car.
