VanMoof has risen from the ashes of bankruptcy courtesy of McLaren Applied, and launched its first new ebikes since going under in 2023. The S6 series is said to be "the culmination of 5 generations and 11 years of ebike innovation."

VanMoof has launched a pair of new city ebikes that ride the same striking minimalist frames as 2020's S3 and X3 models and come jam-packed with smart tech, for "more simple, more accessible, and more reliable" rides.

Looking to attract more people to the world of ebikes, Dutch outfit VanMoof has refreshed its lineup of electrified two-wheelers to include its first step-through frame, while also bringing some new bells and whistles to the table.

While some ebikes are simply designed to make cycling easier, others are intended to outright replace cars. VanMoof's just-announced V ebike will be very much the latter, as it should have a top speed of 50 km/h (31 mph), along with two-wheel drive.

The S3 and X3 city ebikes from Dutch emobility company VanMoof already offer up to 93 miles of per-charge range, but now the company has launched a range extender that puts up to 62 additional miles at a rider's disposal.

Dutch bike maker Vanmoof has today officially launched its next generation ebikes, aimed at getting city folks out and about on two wheels – once COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are lifted.

​It's been a couple of since Dutch high-end bicycle maker VanMoof launched its Electrified S e-bike, and 12 months since the visually arresting Electrified X made its debut in Tokyo. Though both had anti-theft technology built in, the company has now made the latest models even harder to steal.​

​Dutch manufacturer VanMoof has already seen some success with its Electrified S e-bike. Now, much of that model's technology has been upgraded and repackaged in a nimbler, more compact bike, designed for use in the world's largest cities. It's time to meet the Electrified X.

​Although e-bikes are becoming increasingly popular, we're also hearing more and more about smart bikes. VanMoof has just jumped on the bandwagon with its aptly-named SmartBike, which should prove particularly challenging to thieves.​

​It was three years ago that Dutch manufacturer VanMoof announced its 10 Electrified e-bike, which it described as being the world's first intelligent commuter bike. Now, the company has unveiled the new-and-improved Electrified S – the S stands for "smart."​

The VANMOOF Electrified is billed as the "world's first intelligent commuter bike." Not only does it have the usual e-motor, it comes stock with an integrated GPS anti-theft tracking system. VANMOOF has recently tweaked the design of the bike and is moving toward launch.
