BMW updated the styling for the 3 Series for the 2023 model year, carrying forward with the seventh generation of the 3, which entered the market in 2019. The updates, happily, didn’t include a widening of the beaver tooth or a nerfing of the M model.

For the past 26 years, the US Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the North American auto industry, has sponsored Advanced Vehicle Technology Competitions (AVTCs). This year, teams are tasked with updating the iconic Chevrolet Camaro muscle car into a hybrid-electric vehicle.

Four projects will be the first to receive Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC) funding to develop next generation engines using Formula 1 technology. The first projects will see technology deployed in excavators and buses. Around £1 billion (US$1.7 billion) will be invested over the next 10 years.
