It was only a matter of time until we got the first production EV with a semi-solid-state battery. Very few would have put their money on MG to accomplish that feat first. But here we are, and we are not too far away from the car’s official release!

BYD has launched the Atto 1 (which is basically a repackaged version of BYD’s top-selling electric car in China, the Seagull) in Indonesia. With a starting price of around US$12,000, the Atto 1 becomes one of the most affordable EVs on the market.
