Ford has long topped the American auto market with the F-Series pickup truck. But while it's rolling with its larger pickups, it hasn't had a midsize pickup since it discontinued the Ranger back in 2011. Six years and change later, that drought comes to an end with the new 2019 Ranger.

As much as it is a car show, the 2018 Detroit auto show might just be more a truck and 4x4 show. It's no small story when each of Detroit's Big 3 shows an all-new pickup. Combine that with wild concept SUVs and a new Mercedes G-Class, and you have a show full of big-time trucks and SUVs.
