The NY Auto Show kicked off last week and is in high gear. A veritable SUV show, the annual expo has been filled out by SUV debuts from manufacturers around the world while also including generous helpings of electric powertrains, playful concept cars, pickup trucks and high-performance technology.

As it moves closer to a fully electric car, Mini is having some fun with electricity. It's added battery power to a classic Cooper for NYIAS 2018, where it's also showing a different electrified model. The Mini Countryman Panamericana will embark on a journey from Texas to the tip of South America.
