As promised, the US market's biggest, baddest electric camper to date has arrived just in time for Overland Expo Mountain West. EarthCruiser has turned the Hummer EV pickup into an electric off-grid expedition machine with pop-up roof and full floor plan.

Grit Overland raises the bar on floor plan flexibility. It uses virtually every trick we've seen (and some we haven't) to get the most out of every inch of an off-grid Ford Transit camper van ready to transport, sleep, feed and power up the family.

Hatchet Overland is preparing to enter the fray of go-anywhere 4x4 micro-RVs. Its lightweight Jeep Wrangler pop-up adds less than a foot of ride height, sets up in a minute flat, and pops up and out to create a comfy sleeper roof and standing height.

Tentrax sells tiny trailers that are essentially wheeled fiberglass tubs, opening to create a tent or provide cargo access. Tentrax will soon bring the party with a tailgating model that packs a kitchen, cooler, flip-up TV, sound system and beer tap.
