Electra provides a glimpse of the airliner of 2050 with its hybrid aircraft concept capable of carrying over 100 passengers while using electrification, advanced aerodynamics, and integrated airframe-propulsion design to up efficiency and cut emissions.

This is one of those “I swear I’ve seen that before” moments. MG has officially pulled the covers off its latest and greatest coupe, the 07, and the images are uncanny … resembling the Porsche Taycan in more ways than one.

In a segment dominated by gas or electric powertrains, there’s a new contender from China. The Chery KP31: a diesel plug-in hybrid pickup. It comes at a time when the global demand for trucks continues to surge, as do tightening emissions regulations.

This custom-made Yamaha Mt-07 is an all-wheel-drive model, thanks to an additional electric motor on the front wheel. You get an axial flux design, with coils, a magnet, and two discs. The end result? Close to 221 lb-ft on the front wheel!

The new RS 5 is Audi Sports first high-performance plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, and uses a computer-controlled electric motor to shift power allocation between wheels 200 times a second – promising a new level of handling.

Despite its critics and moves toward electrification, the internal combustion engine is not yet dead. Though its design for passenger vehicles may have begun to reach its apex with Mazda’s Skyactiv designs.
