Three years since Hasselblad introduced the 100-megapixel X2D 100C to its lineup of compact medium format cameras, the company's adding end-to-end HDR, as well as continuous autofocus to its successor – and it'll set you back by $7,400.

Imaging titan Hasselblad has announced the successor to 2020's 50-megapixel 907X 50C digital camera system. The 907X & CFV 100C model boasts a camera back featuring a 100-MP back-illuminated image sensor that can be used with legacy film cameras.

Denmark's Phase One has unveiled its "most compact digitally integrated camera to date." The 150-MP XC can be had with a color or black-and-white digital back, and sports an integrated – rather than interchangeable – lens. And it's very expensive.

Hasselblad has added a new medium-format monster to its X System mirrorless camera line. The flagship X2D 100C boasts a 100-megapixel image sensor, in-body stabilization, up to 15 stops of dynamic range and 1 TB of internal storage.

Fujifilm has announced the second generation of the GFX50S medium-format mirrorless camera it launched at Photokina in 2016. GFX50S II highlights include 6.5 stops of in-body image stabilization, and a relatively cheap price of entry.

Hasselblad has revealed a new medium format camera with the H6D. Available in 50 and 100-megapixel options, the camera features wider ISO ranges and faster shooting rates than previous models, and can shoot video at up to 4K resolutions.

Phase One has announced that in conjunction with Sony it’s developed a 100-megapixel full-frame medium format CMOS sensor for use in its high-end XF 100MP Camera System.
