Celebrating the company's DIY legacy, Moog has launched a semi-modular build-it-yourself analog synthesizer called Mavis, which delivers the unmistakable Moog sound in a compact, wallet-friendly package to new users and seasoned musicians alike.

Moog celebrated the 100th anniversary of the invention of the theremin back in 2020 with the special edition Claravox Centennial. Now the company has returned to its original design book for a next-generation Etherwave Theremin.

The Subharmonicon was inspired by a mathematical system for musical composition from the 1930s/40s and by two analog innovations. It's said to create "a rich harmonic kaleidoscope that divides into itself until everything that is up becomes down."

Moog has announced that it's restarting limited production of three of its classic large format, modular synthesizers, which were originally produced in 1973: The System 55, the System 35, and the Model 15.

An educational, patchable analog synthesizer named Werkstatt-Ø1 was created for a two-day workshop at this year's Moogfest. Moog received a number of requests to make the synth more widely available, and has responded by offering a "no soldering required" version of the kit for limited release.

Moog Music has announced a new range of versatile and expressive analog effects stomps for electric guitar and bass. The five Minifoogers are all hand-assembled at the company's Asheville factory, and feature a CV-controlled expression pedal input.
