Let's be honest … general-use ebikes are often pretty clunky, with their welded aluminum construction. The "monocoque-look" Avian definitely bucks that trend, as it sports what is claimed to be the world's lightest titanium ebike-specific frame.

With its all-new Go, Tentbox grabs the rooftop tent market's top spot for ultralight design. The Tentbox Go isn't the sleekest, fanciest car-top abode, but it sets up in under two minutes, sleeps two, and is light enough to ride atop small cars.

Given that they have to incorporate hinges, latches and other structural considerations, folding bikes tend to be heavier than their regular counterparts. Nonetheless, a British designer has built one that tips the scales at just 6 kg (13.2 lb).

According to its manufacturers, the human-powered A-Bike is the world's smallest, lightest folding bicycle. It's certainly also one of the strangest-looking. Now, a group of entrepreneurs are hoping to extend its claims to the world of e-bikes, with the A-Bike Electric.

Three years ago we reported on the FX Mountain Moto, which was claimed to be the world’s lightest adult-sized dirt bike. This week, FX Bikes unveiled its burlier but still-lightweight descendant, the Mountain Moto FX5.

British industrial designer Benjamin Hubert has created what is claimed to be the world’s lightest timber table. Dubbed Ripple, the two and half meter long table is made from 0.8mm thick Canadian Spruce aircraft plywood and weighs in at an incredible 9 kilograms.
