It was only a matter of time before an EV Isuzu pickup came along. The likes of the Ford F150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, Chevy Silverado EV and Tesla Cybertruck all forced the Japanese carmaker’s hand … and lo and behold, we have the Isuzu D-Max EV.

The Rivian R1T is a pickup truck, yes. But it’s also not. The Rivian is more a product of Silicon Valley than it is Detroit, which is why it’s so unique.

Chevrolet has pulled out all the stops with its 2025 Silverado EV ZR2 concept, a race-tuned version of its all-electric Silverado. It comes fitted with a 'tri-motor electric propulsion system', producing 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque.

Californian EV startup Telo just revealed a functional prototype of its MT1 mini-truck at an in-person event in Los Angeles. That signals the company is inching closer to production and getting its rationally sized pickups on to the road.

As the production window approaches for what's described as "the world’s most efficient EV pickup," startup Telo has formed a partnership with Aptera. The latter will supply its PV cells for optional solar paneling for the upcoming compact e-truck.

A UK-based company is on a mission to make goods haulage easier and cleaner for producers in developing nations. Now thanks to a multi-million-dollar deal, its electric-truck-as-a-service model is about to expand in Rwanda and neighboring regions.

Last year, EV startup Telo launched a compact truck that has the same footprint as a Mini Cooper but boasts a cargo bed that challenges the big boys. At that time, it was listed at under $50k, but the company has now revealed a much lower base price.

Volvo has long been a leader in the long-haul heavy-truck category with its FH series. Its 12 to 16-liter diesel "world engine" made excellent power output, lower emissions, and relatively low fuel consumption. Next year, it'll be powered by batteries.

The "apocalypse-ready" Cybertruck Sting isn't the prettiest truck, but it promises serious off-grid capability. Along with various grades of armor, the Sting boasts Starlink internet and a jet-fuel generator to fully recharge the drive battery.

MAN Truck & Bus has demonstrated a megawatt charging prototype developed by the Technical University of Munich that pushed out more than 1,000 kilowatts. The 40-tonne eTruck received enough charge in 30 minutes for almost 250 miles of hauling.

The "world's first ultra-large full battery dump truck" is being put to work at a mine in Zambia. The prototype will undergo validation testing under operating loads to verify basic performance of the vehicle itself, and the support infrastructure.
