Colorful photo-tech inventor Samuel Mello Medeiros and camera/optics veteran Yashica have joined forces to create what's billed as the world's smallest mirrorless camera, the Micro Mirrorless Yashica – I'm Back.

Sony has launched the Alpha 9 III mirrorless camera, which is billed as the first full-frame model rocking a global shutter system, which enables high-speed shooting at up to 120 frames per second and shutter speeds of 1/80,000 of a second.

Nikon has added a second "heritage-inspired" camera to its mirrorless lineup, joining the Z fc in riffing off of the look of the company's FM2 single-lens-reflex film camera from the early 1980s – but this time built around a full-frame image sensor.

Sony has pulled back the curtain on two compact full-frame interchangeable lens mirrorless Alpha cameras. The second-generation 7C model gets a sensor bump and AI processing, while the brand new 7C R gains the CMOS sensor from the Alpha 7R V.

Canon's EOS R mirrorless family has grown by two. The R8 is billed as the lightest full-frame EOS camera so far and is aimed at "the up-and-coming video or photo enthusiast" while the R50 is for smartphone creators looking to step up.

Panasonic has launched the S5 Mk II full-frame mirrorless cameras at CES 2023, which sport a new sensor with phase-detection AF for fast and accurate subject tracking, can record 6K video at 30 fps, and there's a built-in fan for extended shooting.

The fifth generation in a line of retro-styled mirrorless cameras that began in 2014 has been announced. The Fujifilm X-T5 gains a new sensor/processor combination, features in-body image stabilization, and can record 6.2K video with 10-bit color.

Canon has updated the EOS R6 full-frame mirrorless camera launched in 2020. The Mark II becomes the first in the EOS R range to move to the second generation, and boasts a new image sensor, uncropped 4K video chops, and improved subject-tracking AF.

Way back in 2013, Sony claimed the crown for the world's first full-frame mirrorless cameras with the Alpha 7 and 7R models. Now the fifth-generation 7R has been announced, which unlocks the power of its 61-MP sensor thanks to new Bionz processors.

Sony is lowering the price of entry to its line of vlogging cameras with the introduction of the ZV-1F, which comes with the same 20.1-MP sensor as 2020's ZV-1, but sports a fixed lens instead of the older model's zoom.
