Though many head into the wild to recharge their batteries in nature, there are those who need to be entertained. JMGO has launched a portable HD projector that can be slipped into the bottle pouch of your backpack to take movie nights to camp.

While sizable all-in-one projectors are great for movie-watching at home, taking them into the wilds for entertainment at camp can be a little awkward. This is where pico projectors tend to shine, and the latest to appear on our radar is the Tairona.

It can feel a little crowded when huddling friends around a smartphone to share the latest viral video, which is where a pico projector can come in handy. China's Yaber is launching the Pico T1 to put a smartphone-sized projector in your pocket.

Samsung has launched a fun-looking projector aimed at Gen Z and millennials that not only throws HD visuals onto a wall, but can also serve as a smart speaker and a source of ambient lighting. And it can swivel on its stand for usage flexibility.

XGimi promises its Halo throws "the sharpest picture you will ever see from a portable projector" – and while that may be optimistic, it impressed us with crisp 1080p visuals, voice-controlled Android TV, and a capable Harman Kardon audio system.

Like a number of other established companies, Philips has taken the crowdfunding route to launch its latest compact projector, the PicoPix Max.

Smartphones are pretty much everywhere, and can be pretty powerful computing machines. But tapping away on a touchscreen can be fiddly and takes up precious display space. Masterkey 4.0 wirelessly connects to a phone and projects a keyboard onto a desk and a big screen display onto a nearby wall.

The latest micro projector from Sony is a curious step sideways from the company's earlier MP-CL1A pico projector. Dropping down in overall resolution from the prior model, the new MP-CD1 brings in Texas Instruments' Intellibright DLP projection technology.

Sony has unveiled the MP-CL1A, which boasts the same pocket-friendly dimensions as the previous model, but sees the addition of a few new features inside and out, including Bluetooth connectivity and focus-free viewing.
