Epson added an ultra-short-throw laser projector to its new Lifestudio range of streaming models last year, which promised "impressive brightness and a vivid, true-to-life picture day or night." Now the veteran company is adding a more powerful flavor.

Though big-screen televisions still dominate many living rooms around the globe, smart laser projectors have been making steady inroads of late – particularly those you can push right up to the wall. AWOL Vision has now launched another contender.

Until fairly recently, if you wanted to get a projector close to the wall, the ultra-short-throw model you'd need would be something of a beast. China's JMGO changed that in January with its compact O2S Ultra – and now the next in line has launched.

Back in January, JMGO revealed what was then claimed to be the world's smallest Laser TV. The O2S Ultra has just launched globally, meaning that full details and pricing are now available.

Epson has launched a new "stylish, beautifully crafted" UST projector for home cinema enthusiasts. The Lifestudio Grand EH-LS670 promises daytime bright 4K visuals at up to 120 inches, and immersive sound by Bose.

Hisense has officially launched the L9Q 4K Triple Laser UST projector that previewed at CES 2025. The high-class wall hugger puts out 5,000 lumens, runs Google TV and rocks pro-tuned sound. US pricing and full specs have now been confirmed.

Even compact UST projectors can be sizable beasts, but LG's CineBeam S squishes everything together into a versatile package that's about the size of a couple of DVD box sets. Launched at CES 2025, the 4K triple-laser thrower is now in the wild.

Optoma launched an interesting ultra-short-throw projector for the European market back in February. Now we have more details and US release pricing for the battery-powered Photon Go tri-laser entertainment hub.

If you're looking for a big-screen TV alternative that doesn't dominate the room when not in use, ultra-short-throw projectors are a good shout. The PT1 from Hisense brings Dolby Vision and IMAX to 4K viewing at up to 150 inches.

If you're looking for an alternative to room-dominating black rectangles to serve up audiovisual entertainment, UST projectors can be a great shout. But they can be pricey. Budget-friendly brand Yaber has answered this with its new K300s model.

Ultra-short-throw projectors are a great way to replace the big-screen TV without having to endure tricky setups. But even these entertainment hubs can be large and heavy. That's certainly not true of the O2S Ultra from JMGO.

Hisense's premium home cinema ultra-short-throw projector line has evolved. The upcoming L9Q features the company's triple-laser engine for 4K Google TV with high brightness, color accuracy and contrast plus included ALR screens at up to 150 inches.
