XGIMI

Chinese projector maker XGIMI reckons it's come up with a best of both worlds solution for projector light sources by combining the high color fidelity and comfortable viewing experience of LED technology with the high brightness chops of laser.

Late last year, XGIMI revealed a new portable projector ahead of a showing at CES 2023, which featured the company's Intelligent Screen Adaptation tech. Now the MoGo 2 Pro Full HD model has gone up for pre-order, along with a 720p series sibling.

Earlier this year, we reviewed XGIMI's Aura laser projector and walked away mighty impressed. But it's not what you'd call portable. With CES 2023 just around the corner, the company has announced the battery-powered MoGo 2 Pro.

Chinese projector and Laser TV brand XGIMI is heading to IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany, next month for the European debut of the Magic Lamp, a ceiling-mounted Full HD projector with a built-in sound system that doubles as an overhead LED room light.

Last year we had the toaster-sized Horizon Pro 4K/60p projector from XGIMI to keep us company during hard COVID lockdowns. Now it's the turn of the company's flagship ultra-short-throw model to spend some time on our review bench.

Though Xgimi has impressed us with its portable all-in one projectors like the Halo, the company has a number of more capable models in its lineup. The latest is a 4K Laser TV called the Aura, an ultra-short-throw projector with a 60-W sound system.

Earlier in the year we got to take Xgimi's Halo portable all-in-one projector for review, and were mighty impressed by what it offered. Now the company has announced a new flavor that promises easier setup, a brighter throw and more features.

Compelling home theater is a one-step process these days, and XGIMI's flagship Horizon Pro 4K/60p projector is a brilliant example. It's fast, smart and powerful with built-in Android TV, premium 16-W audio and a spectacular image up to 300 inches.
